Membership

There are two categories of membership of the HPA

• hockey players who are representatives of the senior Men’s or Women’s New Zealand team (“Black Sticks”) or the Men’s or Women’s National Squad selected by Hockey New Zealand (Incorporated) may apply to be Current Player Members of the HPA;
• hockey players who are not Current Player Members but who have, at any time in the past, represented the senior Men’s or Women’s New Zealand Team (“Black Sticks”) may apply to be Past Player Members of the HPA.

​Together, Current Player Members and Past Player Members are the Members of the HPA, however only Current Player Members may vote.
